Derby Licensed Premises Pool League
DLPPL was formed in 2008 with the aim of promoting pool and the licencee trade in and around the city. The league organises matches between teams and players at public premises around Derby on Monday evenings.
The league runs 4 'Old EPA' divisions along with the Super Cup and Premier Cup team knockouts for 40 teams and Singles, Doubles, Ladies Singles, Mixed Doubles, Captains Cup and Licencees Cup individual competitions for it's members.
DLPPL are members of the Derbyshire County Pool Association and our Winter champions qualify for the annual English Pool Association Champion of Champions tournament in Great Yarmouth. DLPPL is the only evening-based league in Derby that offers this opportunity to the local pool playing community.
Derby Indoor Sports Association
DISA was formed in 2013 initially as a darts league (on Fridays) but adding the Wednesday night pool league the following season.
DISA runs a pool league for 13 teams and a darts league for 10 teams. Both leagues run a team knockout and Singles/Pairs competitions.
Wednesday pool league rules are unique, and popular in Derby, playing to the Old EPA rules but with the addition of the Blackball "Skill Shot".
The league continues to grow with new teams expected to join for it's fifth campaign next season (Winter 2015/16).
Derwent Valley Pool League
DVPL was formed in the Summer of 2012 by teams disillusioned with the way Thursday night pool was being organised in Derby. The first season attracted 15 teams playing the 'Old EPA' rules in the league on Thursday evenings.
The league now runs one 3 'Old EPA' divisions along with the Super Cup and Premier Cup team knockout competition for 24 teams and Singles, Doubles, Ladies Singles, Mixed Doubles, Captains Cup and Licencees Cup individual competitions for the league's players.
Now in it's seventh season (Summer 2015) DVPL aims to increase the number of teams involved by next season and is the fastest growing league in Derby.
